Event Agenda
Day 01
Day one of Kingsland’s Executive Blockchain Fast-Track course introduces blockchain technology and gives executives both an overview of how blockchain works and discusses the emerging implications for industries disrupted by blockchain technology.
SESSION 1: BLOCKCHAIN EXPLAINED
In this session, we look at the history of blockchain and provide a non-technical overview of blockchain technology. We introduce decentralized ledgers, the premise of ‘trustless’ transactions and consider some of the potential security, legal and risk issues that arise from the technology through applied blockchain case studies.
SESSION 2: CRYPTOCURRENCIES AND
TOKEN ECONOMICS
This session provides executives with an introduction to cryptography and the mechanics of the cryptocurrency market and the altcoin, or ‘token’, economy. It introduces initial coin offerings (ICOs) as a method of capial-raising via the blockchain and looks at some of the regulatory and compliance risks associated with ICOs.

SEssion 3: smart contracts and daaps
(decentralized apps)
In this session we introduce Ethereum and its role in facilitating ‘smart contracts’. We look at the value and role of smart contracts and discuss decentralized apps (Daaps). Through case studies, we consider the scope and limitations of blockchain technology.
SEssion 4: industry disruption – impacts
and opportunities
This session looks at the ways in which blockchain disrupts specific industries. We discuss the impacts and opportunities for companies and organisations in industries where blockchain is likely to revolutionize business practice, and consider strategies to mitigate risk and leverage blockchain technology for competitive advantage.

Day two of Kingsland’s Executive Blockchain Fast Track course delves into the strategic and leadership challenges of innovating with blockchain technology.
SESSION 5: FUTURE FRONTIERS –
BLOCKCHAIN AND THE NEW BUSINESS
MODEL
This session considers how blockchain will transform business processes and what future business models may look like in a decentralized world.
SESSION 6: GOVERNANCE AND REGULATION
In this session, we introduce the challenge of governance and regulation in the blockchain sector, and discuss how executives can minimize the impact of lagging governmental regulation whilst leveraging the potential of blockchain technology.

DISRUPTION – NAVIGATING CHALLENGES
IN BLOCKCHAIN PROJECT LEADERSHIP
This session considers some of the key challenges faced when leading blockchain project teams and a leadership methodology developed by Kingsland to address the specific needs of blockchain project teams.
SEssion 8: IMPLEMENTATION ROADMAP
In this session, we discuss implementation: how to develop a business case for your blockchain project, infrastructure and HR considerations, deploying your project and potential project costs.

He has over 30 years of experience deploying new and novel hardware, software, communications, and Internet products, platforms, and protocols. He was a pioneer in wearables (wearable computing) in the 1990s, sparking global publicity via over 700 television appearances and 300 additional articles that has paved the way for public interest in the wearable devices of The Quantified Self wave of innovation. Author of the first book on 4G (Brave New Unwired World, John Wiley, 2002) and theProducer of 108 wearable computer fashions shows held in six US states and 25 nations.
JASON KING
Kingsland University, Unsung
King is a blockchain visionary and humanitarian hacker; he’s been in the crypto-tech space since 2010 and understands the enormous potential of blockchain technologies to solve global humanitarian, social and ecological issues. King is also the founder of Unsung, a platform to connect those suffering from hunger to producers with extra food and individuals who want to help. The goal is to create a country-wide sharing economy to alleviate hunger. He is also the co-founder of Sean’s Outpost and Satoshi Forest, efforts to aid homeless in Escambia County, Florida.
